Job Title: Sales Manager.

Qualification:
Bachelor of Science or related field; or Masters in sales
and marketing, business administration, or related field;
or equivalent is required. Degree must be from a fully accredited
college or university recognized as a center of excellence
in the applicant's field of study.
Experience:
Minimum five years continuous professional sales experience.
Candidate has a proven record of results-oriented selling
including developing and managing an effective sales team.
Employment record must be available and with strong recommendations
from past employer(s).
Areas of Responsibility:
Manager's primary responsibility is to formulate and
manage an effective sales program, and assist the sales team
in successfully and profitably selling nanomaterials and nanoproducts.
This will require a high level of capability and personal
commitment to the job, a creative and effective professional
approach to selling, a strong work ethic and building a respected
leadership position within the company, with our customers,
and in the industry.
As Sales Manager, this individual will be informed
and have a personal professional relationship with key decision
makers in all our larger commercial accounts and in smaller
accounts needing such personal attention.
His/her network of industry contacts within our customer
or prospective customer base will be extensive.
Establishing and maintaining this personal network
is essential to the success of this position.
Manage the business aspects of the sales department
including, but not limited to, sales plans, budgets, sales
staff, and outside reps, and reporting to higher level Management.
To be successful in this position, the Sales Manager
is responsible for developing and then managing to an annual
sales plan and budget to be approved by the company President
and General Manager and to insure that the Sales Department
is doing their part to achieve the profitability goals of
the
company.
Produce a fully costed and measurable sales plan and
once approved implement same.
Manage the 'YASHNANOTECH Brand' and ensure an integrated
marketing and communication approach to all publicity material.
As part of the management team, participate in strategic
decisions and liaise with other managers to ensure that every
opportunity to obtain marketing driven sales is being exploited.
Keep all sales records, files, resources, supplies,
equipment, offices, etc. well organized and in good order
at all times. Set an example for subordinate staff.
1. Stock Sales:
Develop and manage to an annual sales plan with frequent
updates.
Track performance relative to the plan and communicate
results to Management on a weekly basis.
To improve our market share via an aggressive and extensive
well-planned and managed sales program.
Keep fully informed on business with all key accounts,
large orders, pending sizable sales, and significant customer
service issues.
Responsible to make sure the sales team meets the sales
goals.
Assist with selling at all times and as needed, providing
leadership and inspiration to team members and taking personal
responsibility for key accounts.
Coordinate all sales activities with production supervisors
and Management.
2. Personnel Management:
Provide leadership, professional training, and management
of the sales and customer service staff.
Establish and maintain good morale, motivation, and
sense of accomplishment of subordinates and coworkers.
Monitor and review performance of all sales personnel.
Conduct semi annual performance reviews.
Recruit and train new professional sales staff as needed
to meet approved staffing levels and objectives of Management.
3. Planning:
Develop an approved annual Sales Plan and Budget (the
Plan). Communicate any changes or significant deviations from
the Plan to Management and the sales staff on a timely basis.
Plan sales strategies to achieve the Sales Plan within
the constraints of the Budget.
Participate with other managers in developing and updating
an annual production schedule, by species, with sales target
that meet or exceed the financial goals of the company.
Assist others in planning production, as needed and/or
requested by Management.
4. Budget:
Prepare an annual budget proposal for stock sales working
within the guidelines established by Management.
Manage the sales program, staff and expenditures so
that the budget is met. If department needs and budget constraints
conflict to accomplish the Plan, the problem areas will be
brought to the immediate attention of the CEO and higher-level
Management.
Qualifications:
The Sales Manager must show a passion for the nanotechnology
based product and be driven by results and not just the process.
He/she must be able to determine strategy by utilising personal
knowledge and tapping into the company's Intellectual capital.
The Sales Manager must possess a confident and determined
approach and have the ability to reach consensus by:
Working as part of a team.
Flourishing in a competitive environment.
Coping with routine and mundane tasks as well as high
profile and interesting ones.
Above all else achieve or exceed agreed sales targets.
