MANAGERIAL / FINANCIAL POSITION:

Job Title: Purchase Manager.

Description of the job:
The candidate should have post qualification functional experience of at least 3 years in Purchase Dept. of company. He should have experience in Purchase Department of reputed company. Knowledge about Nanotech based materials and products are preferable. Post-graduation degree or diploma in Materials Management will be an optional requirement.

Reporting line:
He/ She has to report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Functional Areas:
Material Management / Vendor Development / Logistics.

Areas of Responsibility:

• He / She will be responsible for overall Purchase & Store functions.

• Developing competent material management function covering identification, sourcing & making available nanomaterials and products.

• Vendor Management.

• Inventory Management & Reduction of cycle time and cost.

• Responsible for entire cycle of purchase dept. from request for quotation up to timely delivery of materials from suppliers and payment for the same.

• Establishing and effective implementation of corporate policies related to procurement and procedures.

• Co-ordination with various internal departments for their requirements.

• Budget finalization for purchase requirement.

• Responsible for vendor sourcing and vendor management.

• Responsible for finalization of vendors, negotiation, market analysis, rate comparative statement etc.

• Follow up for delivery of materials in time.

Mode of Work:

• Finding good suppliers with multiple criteria (price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection, etc.)

• Studying catalogs, industry and company publications, directories, and trade journals, often on the Internet. Reputation and history of a supplier is important, and to improve the future purchase actions.
