Dr. P.N. Pandit -
He contributes senior most position on our advisory board.
Dr. Pandit was graduate from Punjab University. He joined
the course of Dyestuff Technology in the University of Bombay,
Department Of Chemical Technology. After passing B.Sc. (Tech)
in 1947, he joined Research Programme on Vat Dyes under Council
of Scientific and Industrial Research. Then he was offered
the much-coveted I.C.I. Research Fellowship in Leeds University,
U.K. The Research work during this period on Vat Dyestuffs
formed the basis of another Ph.D. Degree from Leeds University.
Then Dr. Pandit moved to Research Laboratory of ICI at Backley,
Manchester where he was associated with the development of
Disperse and Reactive Dyestuffs. Then Dr. Pandit moved to
Germany to work with BASF for the Hindustan Organic Chemicals
Project for the manufacture of organic intermediates in India.
Later on when the HOC Programme was being revamped, Dr. Pandit
joined Messrs. Amar Dye Chem Limited as Production and Development
Manager. In 1970 Dr. Pandit joined Messrs. Hindustan Organic
Chemicals Ltd. As Works Manager and also guided its phenomenal
growth for the crucial period as Managing Director.
:: WORK IN BOMBAY UNIVERSITY AND UNIDO ::
Dr. Pandit has been associated with the Bombay University
as a member of the Board of studies of the University Department
of Chemical Technology.
From 1977 Dr. Pandit has been an UNIDO Expert and has been
sent to Egypt, Turkey, Iran and Vietnam.
:: INDUSTRIAL CONSULTANCY ::
In 1980 Dr. Pandit started a consulting Firm, called PREM
CONSULTANTS (P) LTD., which provided, Basic Engineering, Know-how,
and commissioning for projects in the field of Dyestuffs,
Intermediates and Related Chemicals.
